CORVIAS FOUNDATION inspires college-bound students, military families, higher education communities, and our partners to reach higher.

WHY WE DO

WHAT WE DO

At Corvias we understand that we’re not successful unless we’re giving back. In 2006, we established Corvias Foundation to create educational programs relevant to our partners and the local community. As we learned from our first partner, the U.S. Army, selfless service has to be at the forefront of all we do.

We cannot make it alone. Each of us needs a hand at some point in our academic or professional careers to reach our potential, or even go beyond what we thought possible. At Corvias Foundation, we open doors for students who cross the threshold to take full advantage of every opportunity and also look back to bring others with them.

MEET JUAN

2010 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT

As a first-generation college student and the oldest of six brothers, it was important for Juan to be a role model for his siblings. He showed them how to navigate a long and difficult academic journey with persistence, and was courageous enough to ask for support. Juan graduated in December as a Doctor of Chiropractic, inspiring those around him to follow their dreams.

Corvias Foundation has helped me along the way by providing experiences. By bringing together Corvias scholars and alumni for learning and service opportunities, they create a space to express ideas from so many people with diverse backgrounds. My interpersonal and communication skills have improved just from the dialog and interactions we have as a group.

MEET TRISTEN

2017 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT

Our scholars become part of a family – to lean on during times of struggle and to celebrate during times of success. As Tristen prepared to apply for college, his mother passed away unexpectedly and his father was serving in the military. We provided him with an extended family network to help navigate this new experience.

As a first generation student, Corvias has made it possible for me to pursue my educational and career goals that wouldn’t have otherwise been possible. With Corvias, I know that they are here for me if I need them.

MEET TONIA

2007 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT

Each year we bring our alumni together in support of continued growth. Graduate student and filmmaker, Tonia, applied professional development lessons regarding the impact of storytelling when she successfully interviewed for an internship with Georgia Public Broadcasting.

I’m grateful for the opportunities that Corvias continues to provide to help me develop personally and professionally. During the interview process I shared a story of mine and made a genuine connection with one of the producers.

Making the World a

Better Place

It is an important time to be a Corvias Scholar. The community that has emerged is a testament to the power of giving back. The world is looking for leaders with compassionate hearts and hands ready to work.
